Sometime in the 80’s my father, Robert C. Winsett, was stricken by a strange flight of fancy and he did a series of very odd and often ill humored birds. These three are, of course, the original angry birds.

My wife Lisa and I were living in Hawaii when he penned the series so I never knew quite what it was that moved him in this direction, but he was first and foremost a superb draftsman and for as far back as my memory goes he was possessed of a keen sense of irony and a penchant for the just unexpectedly weird image. There was quite literally nothing he couldn’t draw or paint but his personal style was always unique and extraordinary.
