This pot and dish were hand built / initially coiled by mom, Patricia Haynes McReynolds, at the Mira Costa College ceramics class that we took together.  She used an interesting raku-like glaze on red clay.  I loved to watch her creating art – she was prolific and her style was so organic.  As a child, I was fascinated by her hands – it seemed like she always had traces of paint or clay in her nail beds – the artist’s manicure!
